About

Howdy! I’m Michael.

By day, I’m a software architect. By night, I build little digital toys.

I like making things that fit comfortably in your head. Small worlds. Clear rules. No pressure to optimize your life, collect rewards, or come back tomorrow.

Most of these toys begin with a tiny idea.

Sometimes it’s a conversation with my kids.

Sometimes it’s an old game I haven’t thought about in twenty-six years.

Sometimes it’s just a question that refuses to leave me alone.

When one of those ideas grows into something that feels worth sharing, it ends up here.

Why “Digital Toybox”?

Because these aren’t games in the usual sense.

They’re toys.

You pick one up.

You spend a few quiet minutes with it.

Then you put it back on the shelf.

Nothing nags you to return.

Nothing disappears if you don’t.

They’re happy to wait.

A small philosophy

I like software that stays out of the way.

A digital toy doesn’t ask much of you. It doesn’t expect you to finish it, master it, or even come back tomorrow.

It’s simply there whenever you feel like picking it up.

You spend a few quiet minutes together.

Then you put it back on the shelf.

That’s enough.

Say hello

If you have an idea for a strange little toy, I’d genuinely love to hear it.

I’m still putting the finishing touches on the toybox, so if you’d like to get in touch, check back soon.

Thanks for stopping by.
